“I 4 cantoni” is a traditional children's game; and it is generally played outdoors or in a fairly large room.
There must be at least five of you. A player, usually chosen at random, "stands in the middle". While the others are in the four corners or corners of the playing space which is more or less a square.
The aim of the game is to exchange places by occupying the free corner without being preceded by those in the middle. Whoever is left without a corner is in the middle. If there are many players, variations are possible by increasing the number of cantons and also those in the middle.
History
The game was originally called toccapoma: poma was the name of each of the places assigned to the players and which they tried to exchange during the game.
